Trio Dali was a Resident Artist of the Fondation Singer-Polignac from 2010 to 2016.

Born by strong ties of friendship and passion for chamber music repertoire, Trio Dali (formed in 2006) attracted international attention by winning successively major prizes in International Competitions in Osaka, Japan (First Prize and Gold Medail), Frankfurt, Germany (First Prize), New York, US (Second Prize), Vienna, Austria (Audience Prize, Special prize and Third Prize). In the meantime, It was awarded the prestigious « Chamber Music Award » by the Philharmonia Orchestra in London. The Trio Dali has since become one of the most sought after chamber ensembles, knighted by the press and compared to the legends that are the Beaux Arts Trio or the Stern / Istomin / Rose Trio.

The trio’s name is a reference to the precious Asiatic marble from the Chinese city of Dali, a material that is fastidiously carved to produce works of jewelry and art. This thoughtful and creative shaping, the hallmark of Dali’s marble, reflect the Trio’s essential musical values.

After their studies with the Artemis Quartet, Augustin Dumay and occasionally Menahem Pressler in the Queen Elisabeth College in Brussels and then at the Universität der Kunste in Berlin, the Trio Dali appears in many european countries, in Scandinavian and Baltic countries, Middle-East, United-States, Australia and Asia. It has been invited by such recognised centers of music as the Berlin Philharmonie, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Southbank Center, King's Place in London, Tsuda Hall in Tokyo, Kaufmann Hall 92th in New York, Alte Oper in Frankfurt, Louvre Auditorium and Salle Pleyel in Paris, Palais des Beaux-Arts and Flagey Hall in Brussels, Great Guild Hall in Riga, Izumi Hall in Osaka, Garnier Opera in Monaco... and have played at the International Festivals in Verbier, Monaco, Aix en Provence, Montpellier, La folle journée in Nantes, La Roque d’Anthéron, Saintes, Colmar, Wallonie, Stavelot, Menton, Vexin, Riga among others.

The Trio also collaborates with eminent artistes such as Maria João Pires, Augustin Dumay, Leif Ove Andsnes, Daniel Hope, Lawrence Power, Michel Portal, Jiang Wang, José van Dam, Thierry Escaich, Gabor Takàcs or Gyorgy Kurtag. They also regularly appears on France Musique, France Inter, Radio Classique, RTBF, NHK, Mezzo, ARTE, Klassik 3, BBC 3, Espace 2... They also appears with many orchestras in different formations such as the Philharmonia Orchestra in London (UK), Luxembourg Philharmonic, London Chamber Orchestra (LCO), Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, Besançon Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia…

The first two recordings of the Trio Dali release under the label Fuga Libera-Outhere (Harmonia Mundi) have received international critical acclaim. The first CD dedicated to Ravel in 2009 was crowned with a Diapason d'Or, Choc of the month and of the Year 2009 Classica, France Inter Choice, Key Resmusica, "Disco esceptionnal" Scherzo, Selection BBC Music Magazine. The Schubert box released in 2011 was awarded an Editors Choice in Gramophone, Magazine, Crescendo « Joker », Pizzicato « Supersonic Award », 5 Diapason, Classica 4 Stars, 5 Stars Das Ensemble, Choice France Musique... The trios new recording of Mendelssohn Trios will appear in 2015 on the label ZigZag Teritoires.

Prior to its residency at the Fondation Singer-Polignac, Trio Dali was "Leverhulme Fellows" at the Royal Academy of Music from 2008 to 2010.

Jack Liebeck plays the “Ex-Wilhelmj” violin from J.B. Guadagnini dated 1785 and Christian-Pierre La Marca, an exceptional Antonio Stradivarius cello, “Le Vaslin”, Cremona 1725, generously on loan by Moët Henessy Louis Vuitton / LVMH..

Amandine Savary, piano

French pianist Amandine SAVARY already has a solid pianistic experience. She has received exceptional exposure in the United Kingdom as one of the winner of the Tillett Trust Young Artists' Platform Scheme 2006, the Kirckman Concert Society 2008 scheme, the Philip and Dorothy Green award for Young Artists Concerts Series 2008 as well as the Park Lane Group Young Artists Series 2008. She has already performed in great halls such as the Southbank Centre (Purcell Room), the Wigmore Hall (London, United Kingdom), the Bozar, Flagey Centre and Royal Palace of Brussels, the Maison de Radio France, Auditorium du Louvre (Paris), the Palacio de Festivales (Spain), the Kaufmann Hall (New York), the Izumi hall (Osaka, Japan), the Fumin Alti Hall (Kyoto, Japan), the Suntory Hall (Tokyo), the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Alte Oper (Franckfurt), Opéra Garnier (Monaco), La Roque d'Anthéron, Les Folles Journées…

After graduated with honours in France (Caen Conservatory- Normandy), she was awarded a scholarship to join the "Royal Academy of Music of London" (England) in 2003 to study under Christopher Elton and Alexander Satz. She obtained her BMus diploma with honours in 2007 and was awarded a distinction for outstanding merit from the Countess of Gloucester.

She was a recipient of the Musicians Benevolent Fund, the Martin Musical Scholarship, Hattori Foundation, the Worshipful Company of Musicians and obtained a Masters Concert Project Degree at the Royal Academy of Music with distinction. Amandine Savary is a chamber music lover and had formed the Dali piano trio. They were resident at the Queen Elisabeth College in Belgium with the Artemis quartet, Menahem Pressler from the Beaux Art trio and Dimitri Bashkirov. The Dali trio was awarded second prize in the Young Concert Artist Auditions in New York in 2008, First Prize of the 6th Osaka Chamber Music Competition 2008, First Prize of the Franckfurt Commerzbank Piano Trio Competition 2008.

Amandine appeared on TVs and Radios programmes such as France 3 Television, Mezzo Sequences, Arte Belgium, Arte World, RTBF1&2, Exqi Culture TV as well as for the BBC Radio 3, Radio France Musiques, Classical National Latvian Radio, Netherlands Radio, NHK Japan Radio…

She also performed with the Orchestre de Bretagne, the London Mozart Players, the ProArte Orchestra, the Orchestre Royal de Wallonie, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Latvian National Orchestra, the Orchestre National de Lille, the Sinfonia Varsovia, the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg with conductors such as Mosche Atzmon, Augustin Dumay, Pascal Rophé, Jean-Claude Casadessus, Gérard Korsten, Emmanuel Krivine...

Two CDs with the Dali piano trio has been released for Fuga Libera Label (Harmonia Mundi). It has been highly acclaimed by the press (R10 from Repertoire Magasine, 4* from Le Monde de la Musique, the “Clef” from Resumica Magasine, the prestigious Diapason d’or, the “Choc” of the year by Classica magasine , the “Editor’s Choice” of Gramophone Magasine, the “Super sonic award” of Pizzicato Magasine amongst others…

Amandine is now Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, laureate of the Fondation Banque Populaire Natexis 2011. She also joined her colleague Christian-Pierre La Marca (cello) to record a French melodies recital for Sony Classical.

On February 2014, a solo CD devoted to Bach (Toccatas integrale) came out under the Belgian Label MUSO.

Ten years into an exciting international career, french cellist Christian-Pierre La Marca has attracted widespread attention for playing that combines natural virtuosic command with impassioned musicianship. The intensity of his playing receives regular acclaim, as does the spontaneity and sensitivity of his interpretations. Encouraged and inspired by a circle of great artists such as Steven Isserlis, Itzhak Perlman, Seiji Ozawa, Augustin Dumay and members of the Artemis Quartet and Quatuor Ebène, Christian-Pierre has performed in venues including the Musikverein and Konzerthaus, Vienna; Concertgebouw, Amsterdam; Philharmonie, Berlin; Louvre, Salle Pleyel, Paris; Wigmore Hall, Southbank Centre, London; Bozar, Flagey, Brussels; Victoria Hall, Geneva; Opéra Garnier, Monaco; Alte Oper, Frankfurt; Kauffman Hall, Schwarzenberg; La Fenice, Venice; Conservatory, Moscow; 92nd, New York; Izumi Hall, Osaka; Oiji Hall, Tokyo; Arts Center, Melbourne, City Concert Hall, Sydney.

He has appeared as a soloist with major orchestras including the Philharmonia Orchestra, London Chamber Orchestra, UK; Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg; Brussels Philharmonic, Orchestre Royal Philharmonique de Liège, Belgium; Les Siècles, Orchestre National de Lettonie, Orchestre National de Bordeaux-Aquitaine, France; Wiener Concert-Verein, Poland; under the direction of Gérard Korsten, Emmanuel Krivine, Augustin Dumay, Pascal Rophé, Antoni Ros- Marba, Clemens Schuldt, Christopher Warren-Green and François-Xavier Roth.

An exclusive recording artist for Sony Classical, Christian-Pierre received international acclaim for an anthology of French music recorded in 2010, L' Heure Exquise (Classique d’Or RTL, ****Classica, Coup de cœur Fnac, Top Mezzo), and more recently, the complete cello Suites of JS Bach (Top Le Figaro, La Croix, Coup de cœur RTL, Radio Classique, Europe 1, Fnac and RCF). He actively promotes contemporary music and has collaborated with composers including Peteris Vasks, Jean-Louis Florentz and Nicolas Bacri.

Christian-Pierre La Marca has performed at festivals such as Verbier, Ravinia, Santander, Bad Kissingen, Printemps des Arts de Monaco, Pablo Casals, Aix-en-Provence, La Roque d’Anthéron, La Grange de Meslay, Auvers-sur-Oise, La Folle Journée de Nantes, Saintes, Montpellier, Menton and Wallonie. His chamber music partners include Thierry Escaich, Lawrence Power, Michel Portal, Augustin Dumay, and singers Bernarda Fink and Patricia Petibon, with whom he recorded a CD for Deutsche Grammophon (to be released in 2014) and pianists including Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, Igor Levit, Amandine Savary, Eric Le Sage, Adam Laloum, Cédric Tiberghien and Alexandre Tharaud. Christian-Pierre is a founding member of the Trio Dali, laureate of numerous awards at international competitions: 1st Prize at Osaka and Frankfurt, 2nd Prize at New York, and 3rd Prize and Audience Award at Vienna. Their recordings of Ravel and Schubert for Fuga Libera received international acclaim: Diapason d'Or, Choc de l’Année Classica, Scherzo Excepcional, BBC Music Magazine Choice, Clef de Resmusica, FFFF Télérama and Editor's Choice Gramophone Magazine.

He began playing the cello in Aix-en-Provence before studying in Paris with Jean-Marie Gamard and Philippe Muller. He followed this with lessons from Frans Helmerson in Cologne, Steven Isserlis in London and masterclasses from Gary Hoffman, Heinrich Schiff, Natalia Gutman, Anner Bylsma, Leif Ove Ansdsnes, Maria Joao Pires and Mstislav Rostropovich.

Christian-Pierre was Assistant Professor at the Royal Academy of Music, London from 2008 to 2010 and is currently artist-in-residence at the Singer-Polignac Foundation in Paris. He is also the recipient of Fondation Banque Populaire, ADAMI and received the Firmenich Cello Prize at the Verbier Festival.
