Driven by teachers who inspire them, the four musicians met at the Paris Conservatoire, where they are currently studying for their Chamber Music Master’s degree.

The previous first violin of the Modigliani Quartet, Philippe Bernhard, has a capital importance in the development of the quartet. He was the first to encourage the four musicians, who therefore adopted a positive dynamic. Then, Luc-Marie Aguera of the Ysaye Quartet, helped them acquire a lasting working method, alongside others, such as François Salque.

The Elmire Quartet participates in many Masterclasses. They offer the four young men the possibility to work with great artists, and to get new points of view that complete their teachers'. During those Masterclasses, they received advice from  the Modigliani Quartet, the Ébène Quartet, the Cuarteto Casals, Donald Weilerstein of the Cleveland Quartet, Heime Müller of the Artemis Quartet, Philippe Graffin, Pierre Fouchenneret, Jérôme Pernoo, Xavier Gagnepain, Alain Meunier, Toby Hoffman, Amy Norrington, as well as Gilles Millet and Yovan Markovitch from the Danel Quartet.

The Elmire Quartet is also selected in 2018, then again in 2019, to be part of the Academy of the Festival d'art lyrique of Aix-en-Provence, to work alongside great masters such as Andràs Keller of the Keller Quartet, by David Alberman of the Adritti Quartet and Tabea Zimmermann.

Since 2018, the Elmire Quartet has integrated residency programs of three festivals: the Festival des Arcs in Savoie for three years under the artistic direction of Eric Crambes, "Le Dimore Del Quartetto in Italy, as well as the Musique à Flaine's Festival.

 Concerts are then a major part of the Elmire Quartet's activity, performing a repertoire of the string quartet through Bartok and Beethoven, but also many others. But the four artists do not forget the importance of connecting with other repertoires to share more and open up new possibilities through complementary points of view. Curious to explore other visions and repertoires, the Elmire Quartet already performed with artists such as Julien Gernay, Victor Metral, Cyril Huvé, Antonin Le Faure, Valentin Cotton, Juliette Adam, Claire Désert, Philippe Graffin and Sindy Mohamed.

Their passion for music and their desire to share encourage the four musicians to create the ClassicArte festival with the composer Emmanuel Rappaz in Geneva, that had two editions. There, they created the Op.13 "Folk Suite" quartet by Dorvan E. Rappaz.
